Elevator Pitch
Unconventionally presented in a way that highlights how the audience physically interacts with the book, Fragments of an Unquiet Mind is an immersive journey into the heart of personal and emotional landscapes.
Through the lens of mental health and identity, this collection invites readers to explore the complexities of self-discovery and emotional resilience through the shared language of poetry and art.
Description
Fragments of an Unquiet Mind is an artistic collection that delves into themes of self-identity and mental health. Presented in a tête-bêche style, there will be two parts of the collection printed together, but upside down and back-to-back. This is a collaborative project, featuring artwork and a collection of poems by a diverse range of students at Bath Spa University. In this collection, you will find poetry that extends upon the poets own experiences and insights into the complexities and depths of self-identity with themes of personal growth, self-discovery, and the challenges of navigating through life with mental health conditions. Fragments of an Unquiet Mind will also feature artwork showcasing the artist’s own perspective, voice, and insights into the complex nature of identity. One side of the book will feature positive reactions and emotions, offering hope, understanding, and a sense of community to those who have struggled and searched for solace in their own minds. The other side will showcase the darkest thoughts of these delicate themes, challenging readers to confront uncomfortable truths and reflect on their own experiences, encouraging a deeper connection with the narratives presented. This duality aims to provide a comprehensive view of the human psyche, ultimately inspiring resilience and awareness.
